Description
A simple white coffee bowl by Japanese potter Makoto Asebi, handmade at his studio in Kamakura, a city located just outside Tokyo. This is a nice size cup and would be perfect for small amounts of tea or coffee in the morning.
He achieves this unique colour by applying a white slip and firing at a high temperature in the kiln. Although simple, this is an understated piece of functional design by Makoto Asebi and has an abundance of character.
Note: These are made by hand so each one may differ slightly from the photo, they all have their own character.
